On Sunday, September 8, we begin another year of learning and teaching with a Rally Day Celebration. It will be a time to honor all those who teach and those who learn; all who nurture faith in others. In one way or another, we are all students and teachers of the Word of God. It might be in Sunday School or Preschool or monthly Small Groups or Women’s or Men’s Bible Studies or it might be as we share our faith with our loved ones and neighbors. Rally Day provides an opportunity for the entire congregation to celebrate their ministry of Christian education.
So……on Sunday, September 8 we will celebrate:
Food – a potluck brunch after church
Games – yard games and a cornhole competition
Prizes – a no-cost raffle for your very own homemade cornhole game
Bring your school backpack — we will have a blessing of the backpacks
Join us and celebrate the joy of the start of another year oflearning God’s Word.

Prince of Peace will be hosting the Watoto Children’s Choir again this year. They are excited about presenting their new program, We Will Go!
The Watoto Children’s Choirs tour the world annually to support the Watoto childcare ministry, a holistic program that provides shelter, medical care, and education to vulnerable women and children in Uganda. Each of the children in the choir has suffered the loss of one or more parents from war or disease, but they joyously share God’s love through traditional and contemporary African song and dance.
Doors open a half hour before the performances. Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend. A love offering will be gathered to benefit the Watoto general fund.
